A
PROGRAMME OF IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF BUSINESS MANAGEMENT
A programme of
improving the quality of business management is one of
the possible levers to achieve a faster progress of
companies. The coordination of business management with
ISO and other standards in many ways contributes to
well-regulated systems and procedures in a company. This
can be followed by implementing a 2 to 3 year IQP
programme (a programme for improving the quality of
business management) on the basis of the European model
for business excellence (EFQM – European Foundation for
Quality Management – Business Excellence model or model
“PRSPO” – Award of the Republic of Slovenia for Business
Excellence).
The advising is
directed to the following areas:
-
acquainting
the leadership and IQP team with the model of
business, excellence and the use of the RADAR
matrix, self-evaluation on the basis of the model of
business excellence,
-
planning
objectives of the 2 to 3 year “IQP programme”,
-
designing
the “IQP programme”, strengthening the advantages of
the company and the prevention of abnormal problems
(introducing extra possibilities) in the companies
business,
-
cooperation
at designing and filling out the application for the
business excellence award,
-
cooperation
at evaluating the application for the business
excellence award,
-
advising for
the strengthening of the competitiveness of the
company in the defined areas of business (HRM,
company organization, management, optimising of
processes and organizational structures).
ACHIEVING
VITALITY
Achieving
vitality is the objective of all organizations – small,
medium and large. Irrespective of the age there are
quite a few companies that achieve and maintain vitality
in business with suitable business activities. The
timely solving of normal problems and prevention of
abnormal problems in businesses is often linked to an (in)correct
diagnosis of organizational activities. The key task of
the company leadership therefore is to - on the basis
of a suitable diagnosis - direct a company into a phase
of vitality with short and middle term activities and to
maintain it there with dynamic change.
The advising is
directed to the following areas:
-
defining
the phase of the life cycle (whole or separate parts
of the company),
-
SWOT
analysis – defining a period in a life cycle,
-
proposals
and measures for the introduction of improvements.
IMPROVING
THE QUALITY OF HUMAN WORK
Improving the
quality of human work is - beside the organization of
company activity - the principal pillar of achieving
vitality of business. What exactly is quality work of
the employees? When can the employees essentially affect
the appropriacy and above all the usefulness of their
own work? Many answers to the question HOW TO
EFFECTIVELY PLAN AND ACHIEVE THE RIGHT OBJECTIVES are
offered by active cooperation of key people in a company
(leaders, experts, competent operative workers).
The advising is
directed to the following areas:
-
standardized procedures and the non-standardized
role of innovative individuals and groups,
-
defining the
quality of work in various areas of activities,
-
effect of
the system of quality and the system of leadership
on the quality of work – the defining of the
objectives of quality of individuals and groups,
-
personal
characteristics, recommended skills of leaders,
experts and operative performers in improving
personal quality,
-
(self)motivation
of employees for quality work,
-
quality of
planning the right business and work objectives,
-
quality
performance of the right business and work
objectives.
THE
TRANSFER OF GOOD PRACTICES
The transfer of
good practices is - in the beginning of the 21st century
- one of the tools of modern management that allows the
achievement of objectives of excellent organizations in
other business environments as well. Examples of good
practice are an opportunity for the entrepreneural
companies, their advantage against the competitors can
be enlarged with relatively small investments. However,
the implementation of new managerial patterns does not
have the same effect everywhere, therefore the transfer
of good practices requires the employees to invest a lot
more of their own creativity and energy.
The advising is
directed to the following areas:
-
leadership,
-
management
of people at work,
-
politics and
the strategy of a company,
-
management
of information and knowledge,
-
improving
business processes,
-
influence on
the environment of a company,
-
key results
of business activities.
